To connect your mobile phone to your computer you need to follow a few simple steps. First make sure you have the right USB cable to connect your phone to your computer's USB port. Most modern phones use a microUSB or USBC cable. After connecting the cable to the phone and the USB port on the computer a notification about connection to the device should appear on the phone screen. Then on the phone screen select the option to transfer files.
This may be File Transfer or Media Device (MTP). Selecting this option will allow your Phone Number List computer to access your phone's memory. After selecting the appropriate option on your phone a new removable drive should appear on your computer in My Computer or This Computer which represents the phone's memory. Click on it to open and browse the folders and files in your device's memory.
Now you can drag and drop files between folders on your computer and folders on your phone to transfer data. always safely remove your mobile device by clicking the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the Windows system notification area and disconnect the USB cable. Also remember to update the drivers for your mobile device and unlock the phone screen before attempting to transfer data which may be required for some smartphone models.
