He found it in eaters of pests. It was a Cotton spider, known to also harvest its own Cotton as it eats all bugs.

The only risk was its bite but it rarely bit ponies as it was very fond of them.

So MANY SPIDERSSSSSSSS! He screamed as he was covered in a mass of cuddling spiders... The locusts had come to eat everything so half a million spiders were there to prevent that and doing an amazing job.

The spiders and locusts were all gone by now, besides the thousands cuddling Romance, he'd gotten comfortable. Sooo soft.... He purred.
